Cindy Foxfoot
Licensed Midwife

My homebirth practice was established in 2001 here in Nevada County and my experience includes 400 births, and countless prenatal and postpartum visits.

After completing my B.A. Degree at the University of California at Davis, I studied for and received my license from the California Medial Board.  Preparation for my license included a Certificate of Completion from the Seattle Midwifery School, fulfilling the requirements of the "credit by examination" provision of California's Licensed Midwifery Practice Act and Completing an internship with Casa de Nacimiento, one of the busiest birth clinics in El Paso, Texas.  During that three month internship I attended 110 births.  I also completed an apprenticeship with Alison Osborn, a well reconignzed and highly respected midwife in California, and than continued on as her partner from 1993 until 2003 when I established my independent practice here in Nevada County.

I am a member of the California Association of Midwives and have served as a regional representative on their Board of Directors and  I am always furthering my education through annual continuing education credits.  I network with Midwives throughout the state and country and collaborate with other local midwives here in Nevada County.

I have enjoyed and value my experience as a midwife, working with so many families.  I feel blessed to do such incredible work and to have birthed and raised my own two daughters, Iris and Skyla.
